This 4 Days Fes to Marrakech Desert Tour is a wonderful way to experience Morocco’s desert landscapes and mountain scenery while connecting two of its most iconic cities. Starting in Fes, you’ll travel through the Middle Atlas, the lush Ziz Valley, and into the golden dunes of the Sahara Desert.
After an unforgettable camel trek and overnight in the desert, the journey continues through Erfoud, the Todra Gorges, and into the dramatic Dades Valley where you’ll spend two nights surrounded by red cliffs and Berber villages. The adventure ends with a scenic drive across the High Atlas Mountains, arriving in vibrant Marrakech.
Depart from Fes and travel south through the Middle Atlas Mountains. Stop in Ifrane, often called “Little Switzerland,” before continuing to the cedar forests of Azrou to see the Barbary apes. The road passes Midelt and the fertile Ziz Valley with its palm groves before descending toward the desert.
By late afternoon you’ll reach Merzouga, where camels await to take you into the Erg Chebbi dunes. Enjoy a spectacular sunset camel trek before dinner and overnight in a traditional desert camp under the stars.
